Mike recently traveled to Paris, France to attend a Bike Show. But not before snapping a great shot of his Daytona & the Rocky Mountaineer on one of his last rides of the season.
Here’s what Mike C. had to say:
Last sunny day before snow on the Duffy - It was my first ride on the new pavement from Pavillion to Cache Creek. Worth the trip…

‘08 Speed 3 - Sexy!

Guide Bike and for guests who look tippy?!

Also, I was at the Big Paris Motorcycle Show at the end of September. It was very cool, on the same caliber as the Birmingham NEC show, but with lots of wealthy Frenchmen. I was there on press day and had a good walk around. There were no touring companies there, but there was lots of emphasis on Sport Touring, both on the manufacturer booths and clothing booths. Triumph chose the Paris show to introduce their ‘08 clothing range.
I did not bother to check into pricing on a booth, but the Triumph dealer i know in Paris is the MV Agusta importer and he had a rather large MV Agusta booth. He’d know pricing and might be willing to go in a space and have you rent a corner. MV owners definitely have the $$ for a RMMH trip and most have several bikes. The only problem is that you would need to have people able to speak French working the booth. The only conversations I had at the different booths that wasn’t in French was at the Triumph Booth. Most wealthy Frenchmen can speak English very well, but would need that 1st contact in French. Canada is definitely perceived as an exotic destination!! The other problem with this show is that it is a week long and thus requires quite a bit of staffing.
Good luck with the London show & ‘08 Bookings.
All the Best,
Mike Ciebien

“You can be most proud of your caring for a bunch of fun loving certified crazies. Our ten day tour was most enjoyable due to your wonderful care and support. The riding, food, accommodations and scenery was THE BEST!”
