We hit the throttle with Brandon. Brandon Douglas began his career in the saddle — as one of the original Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays guides.
His passion for riding, hosting world-class motorcycle tours, and the landscapes of the Rocky Mountains made Brandon a perfect fit for Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays. And as Brandon grew, so did the business.
At the right time, Brandon bought Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays, the boutique motorcycle touring company Mike Ciebien founded in 1998. Brandon wanted to create the best possible experience for his guests.
They would ride top-of-the-line bikes, travel the choicest routes, eat in world-class restaurants and stay in the best hotels. One price would include all hotels and resorts, all meals on riding days, chase vehicle support of luggage and passengers, insurance, maps, rainsuits, airport transfers and, best of all, the personal touch of our expert guides.
From that premise comes the Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays promise: to offer all-inclusive, luxury motorcycle tours through the mountains of Western Canada and the United States.
Today, Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays is wholly owned and operated by the Douglas Family: Brandon, as president and head guide, Tyler, in charge of marketing and technology, and Diana, co-owner and passionate motorcycle enthusiast. The Douglas family’s relationship with Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays started with a passion for riding — a trip Diana took as a passenger in the early days of the company led to the eventual acquisition — and is sustained by a passion for riding.

Brandon Douglas
President, Guide and World Traveller

Before joining Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays, Brandon worked as a guide and tour coordinator in Costa Rica. He was born and raised in British Columbia and knows the roads well. As someone who has saved the lives of his guests from Banditos in Central America (true story!), Brandon is not afraid to go the extra mile to make sure guests are having a good time. He loves to listen and share in adventure stories from all over the world.
Brandon’s bike of choice is the 2006 Triumph Tiger with off-road pipes.
Tyler Douglas
Marketing Director, Administrator, and Occaisional Guide

Tyler joined the Rocky Mountain team back in March of 2007 in a Marketing role with big shoes to fill. He’s the youngest member of the Douglas clan.
His previous motorcycle experience included terrorizing his neighborhood streets as a teenager on his Mom’s Honda XR 80cc dirt bike, and hiding from his brother after dumping Brandon’s street bike parked in the family garage.
Tyler has proven to be a quick learner and can now hold his own on the open road with the rest of the guides. If you happen to find Tyler along on one of your holidays, don’t hold back on your opinions. He’s not there for the free food or the twisties and sweepers; he’s there to learn more from our guests about what makes the perfect motorcycle touring experience.
Tyler’s bike of choice is the Triumph Speed Triple.
Jarvis Simes

Jarvis grew up in the flatlands of central Canada and migrated to the coast after a season of snowboarding in Jasper, Alberta. The twisty roads of British Columbia combined with the scenery of the Rockies have made motorcycle guiding a dream job for Jarvis since 2001. As he says, βIt gets better each year.β
Exceptional dining is a big part of each tour and, with his years of experience in the restaurant industry, Jarvis is always helping make sure the menu is up to snuff. He also covers sports for a local paper, proving Rocky Mountain guides can spell, too.
Jarvis’ bike of choice is the Triumph Sprint ST. βI liked it so much, I bought one myself!β
Derek Huddle

If you’ve ever enjoyed a wonderful day skiing in Whistler, Derek Huddle was likely responsible for part of that experience. As a manager of several restaurants for Whistler-Blackcomb, his skills in customer satisfaction are well honed. In the summer, we’re happy to have him apply those skills for us.
Derek’s been riding a motorcycle since high school and owns a bright yellow Daytona, which can often be spotted “doing research” as far a way as California. If you get a chance to sit beside him during dinner, his knowledge of the region and charismatic personality make for an interesting evening indeed.
Derek’s bike of choice is the 2007 Triumph Tiger.“Either loaded with luggage for the long haul, or a quick zip to town, 2 up with a pillion or 1 knee down with the boys the Triumph Tiger is the perfect bike for it all”
Mike Dyndul

Mike is on an extended hiatus from RMMH and Whistler as he has travelled to New Zealand in search of adventure. We hope to see him back in the saddle one day!
Mike came to Rocky Mountain with many years of snowmobile guiding experience.
Mike’s love of the outdoors and comfort with people from all over the world make him a natural Rocky Moutain guide. His skills as a motorcyclist are only surpassed by his attention to detail and the safety of our guests.
We were finally able to get a photo of him without his sunglasses.
Mike’s bike of choice is the BMW R1200 GS.
Brian Reid

Brian’s been riding with Rocky Mountain for almost 10 years, sharing the best of Western Canada and the United States with people from all over the world. Originally from Ontario, Brian has made beautiful British Columbia his home for over 15 years. He knows where all the hidden gems are found.
Brian’s great sense of humour and genuine willingness to make every holiday a big success, ensure Brian’s popularity with veteran guests.
Brian’s bike of choice is the BMW R1200 RT.
Richard Pogson

Our guides are not only chosen for their riding skills, but for their service skills and how well they work with guests.
Richard Pogson is living proof of this formula.
Stolen away from the Fairmount Chateau Whistler each summer, Richard leaves the front line of a first-class hotels to guide first-class motorcycle holidays.
Follow Richard’s smooth cornering through unfamiliar roads and you’ll know you’re in good hands.
Then watch him at the day and he’s still making your holiday a truly remarkable experience.
Richard’s bike of choice is the 2007 Triumph Tiger.
Ryan Brown

Ryan has been with Rocky Moutain Motorcycle Holidays since before we owned any motorcycles. We stole Ryan away from his role as Guest Services Manager at one of the top hotels in Whistler.
Being a serious athlete, Ryan moved to Whistler right after university to enjoy the outdoor life. He managers a snowboard shop in the winter season and rips up the powder like Foggy turns a bike.
As the current Manager for Summit Ski & Board, and recent father of a baby girl, Ryan has his hands full with his new family. Every so often Ryan finds the time to dust off his riding boots and re-live the glory days by joining us on a guide cameo.
Ryan’s bike of choice is the Triumph Speed Triple.
The bike your ride is practically as important to your holiday as the guides.
The Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holiday fleet consists of the best bikes — Triumph, BMW, Moto Guzzi, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles — for western mountain riding conditions.

Luxury motorcycle trips from 7 to 15 days through the Canadian and U.S. Rocky Mountains.
Sue and I were looking for the holiday of a lifetime to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and that is exactly what we got from Rocky Mountain Motorcycle Holidays. Every day for a week was spectacle built on spectacle whilst we were looked after with the best hospitality that BC has to offer.
We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of riding the whole range of Triumph machinery on some of the best biking roads in the world. The company and new friendships of like minded motorcyclists made the experience all the more pleasurable. So much so that you can be sure that we will be back for more!”
